Badaam Paak By: Nasim & Murad Jamal


3 cups sooji
2 tins condensed milk
1 lb unsalted butter
1 cup powdered milk
1 1/2 lbs badaam
Chopped badaam and pistachios for garnish


Melt butter in a non stick saucepan on medium heat. Add sooji -fry for about 12 minutes-(you can actually smell the marriage of butter and sooji) .
Add badaam -mix well. Add powdered milk-stir and cook for extra 5 minutes.
Remove from heat and add 2 tins of condensed milk.
Mix well and then pour the mixture on to a clean dry baking sheet.
Decorate with chopped almonds and pistachios if you so wish.
Let it dry for about 10 minutes -cut into desired shape of pieces.
Leave them in the tray overnight (if possible) and then serve individual pieces.
