Bateta Champ East African Style


1 lb lean kheema
1 onion
1 lime
1 tsp ginger
1/2 tsp garlic
3 green chillies ground
2 eggs bitten
1/2 teaspoon Garam masala
1/2 kg (approx) potatoes
Coriender and Mint leaves salt, pepper and little lime juice to taste


Cook all ingredients on a slow flame. Boil 1/2 kg (approx) potatoes, mash with salt and pepper to taste. Take some mashed potatoes, make a patty , fill with cooked mince meat mixture , cover with more mashed potatoes patty. Form a shape like a cutlet close all around a ball flattened 1/3 the size, dip in eggs and breadcrumbs and fry.
