1 tbsp ginger paste
2 tbsp garlic paste.
1 medium onion, peeled and chopped
1½ - 2 cups yogurt
1 skinless chicken cut into pieces
2 tsp , or to taste, red hot chili powder
1 tsp cumin seeds
salt to taste
½ cup lemon juice
3-4 tbsp butter, or olive oil as preferred
2 cinamon stick
2 bay leaves
2 cardamom pods - all grind to make powder.
1 tsp each, garam masala & chat masala
1 lemon, cut into 4's
1 onion, peeled and sliced into rings.
Blend ginger, garlic, onion with yogurt to make a smooth paste.
Rub chicken with the paste to coat evenly. Leave to marinate for 5-6
hours, over night will be fine.
Mix the seasoning powder with chili powder, cumin seeds, salt and lemon
juice. Make a few slashes on each piece of chicken and smear with the mixture. Leave to stand for at least an hour.
Brush the chicken with melted butter, or oil, and barbeque or grill (broil) for 15-20 minutes,
or until cooked through and browned, turning frequently to avoid burning. . Sprinkle with garam
masala and chat masala and serve hot with lemon and
