Chicken cut in pieces. 8 -12
4-5 tbsp oil
1 small onion, peeled and sliced.
1 large tomato, coarsely chopped.
1 tbsp each, ginger/garlic paste
3-5 green chilli
½ to 1 tsp hot red chili powder, or to taste
salt to taste
½ medium tomato, chopped coarsely.
Over medium-high flame heat oil in a thick bottomed wok, or karai.
Stir fry onion till lightly browned. Add tomato and cook for 2
minutes. Add ginger/garlic paste and simmer for
another minute or two. Add green chili and red chili
powder and salt. Simmer for a minute or two. Lowering
heat to medium, add and cook chicken for 3-4 minutes.
Add remaining Tomato and cook for a minute. If needed add little
water, cover and cook for 4-8 minutes or until
chicken is soft and done. Remove and serve with
paratha, chapatti, or with tandoori nan
