PRAWN TOAST

Preparation time: Approximately, 40 to 45 minutes.
Cooking time: Approximately 20 to 25 minutes.
Makes: 36.

INGREDIENTS

1 spring onion (White part only)
60 g water chestnut
200 g prawn meat (about 450-500 g raw prawns)
1 egg, beaten
2-3 tbsp cold water
9 slices (big) white bread (cut all sides with a knife)
3/4 cup white sesame seeds
oil for deep frying as needed.

Method

In a food processor chop the spring onion and water chestnut. Add prawn meat, egg &
water. Grind to a smooth, light paste.
Spread prawn mixture evenly over each bread slice.
Remove excess crust and cut each slice into four
triangles.
