Hondvo2 By: Parin Jaffer

Ingredients:

3 cups sooji
1cup channa flour
2 cups yogurt
1 ½ cups mixed frozen veg
2 ½ teasp salt
1 tbsp giner/garlic
½ teasp turmeric
1 teasp green chillies, 1 tbsp coriander
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 cup cabbage, or 2 med sized grated potatoes (optional)

Method:


Add 3 cups warm water and mix all in a large bowl,
Heat 1 cup oil, when hot, put a tsp of mustard seed, I teasp jeera, marcha whatever you like,
add to the flour mixture, add 2 and 1/2 teasp ENO, sprinkle sesame seeds.
Bake in spring foam pan or 9 inch cake pans that are well greased and bake at 300 deg for 1 ½ hours.
remove when top is brown or pour make another vagar with limro etc.

Chutney for Hondvo

Heat ½ c. oil, add crushed tomatoes - about ½ can, ginger, garlic and limbro. salt and green chillies as desired. cook for 1 minute.
