Tareli Machi and Bateta or Fish and Potatoes By: Nishma Jaffer

Ingredients for Fish:

King Fish - 3 to 4 big pieces (cut in oval shape, i guess u know what i mean by that) don't know how else to explain it
1 table spoon lasan
1 table spoon adu
1 table spoon dhana jeero
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon chilli powder
1 lime

Ingredients for Potatoes:

May be 2 kgs potatoes peal and cut in crisps think slices or chips size
2 to 3 grinded tomatoes
1 table spoon lasan
1 table spoon adu
1 teaspons hyder
1 table spoon dhana jeero
1 teaspoon chilli powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 bell pepper green roughly cut
1 small tin tomato puree
1 medium bunch of coriander cut
1 lemond juice
3 to 4 ladies fingers (bhamia/bhinda)

Method:

1 Mix above and make like paste and put on fish for like 15 mins for marinate.
Then shallow fry the fish with the marinate till cooked and put in plate for later to mix with the bateta.
2 Fry potoatoes and put in plate, then take big pan, add about 3 to 4 table spoons of fish oil (the same oil you used to fry
the fish) and add in the above ingredients, except the potatoes, and coriander. After the masalo starts cooking and the bhinda look nearly ready add half bunch of coriander into it and cook for few minutes....then add the fried potatoes and mix the mixture and potatoes till all potatoes are covered with masalo, then add the fried fish and add more coriander on top and cook for few more seconds and remove from heat.

Note: you need to taste for salt and lime as you cook, i usually do that if i find salt or lemon is less, so u can do the same!

Serve and enjoy!

Yummy
